Triple Threat Double Dipping Contest:

This Wednesday, blog posts will appear at digitalmagic.com, metamorcity.com, and jdsawyer.net containing printable PDFs.  These PDFs will contain a page of printable bookmarks.  Your mission: Print the bookmarks out, cut them along the dotted lines, and take them to your local libraries and bookstores.  Leaving a set of bookmarks near the checkout gets you one point, putting the bookmarks into similar books will get you two points – each of the podcasters will have a number of authors listed in their blog posts whose books they’re targeting.  Do this as many times as you can before December 20th, and send in a photograph of each instance to the author. Each point you earn will get one copy of your name in the hat.  On Dec 21, winners will be drawn, winners will get free books as prizes.
Anyone who enters all three contests will get their name in a second hat for a second drawing — the winner of this will get a basket with New Zealand and San Francisco goodies in it.

All of our PR-BTR shows are hosted by our own much loved Rhonda R Carpenter. Catch Rhonda as a GUEST on October 22 at 5:00 pm PST/8pm EST as a panelist on Cyrus Webb’s Conversations Live. You may recognize Cyrus Webb from his recent Literacy Campaign as well as his upcoming The Write Stuff television series.

Captain’s Share is the much anticipated 5th Trader’s Tale from the  Golden Age of the Solar Clipper and follows the 2009 Parsec Finalist novel Double Share. Nathan’s books consistently rank in the top ten rated Podiobooks (he holds the top three places for top overall rating) and among the podcasts with the most ratings on the Podiobooks.com charts. Nathan’s fans, and there are many of them, have become accustomed to his quick releases. According to Nathan, “My goal is to get the whole thing done and up by October 15th.”

The series starts with Quarter Share and I strongly suggest that you begin this sci-fi series at the beginning.

In his comments about Captain’s Share on Podiobooks.com Nathan says, “There’ll be 22 episodes and a couple of them will be a bit longer than average… pushing 40-45 minutes. It’s just the way the chapters broke and I chose to make them longer by putting more chapters together. The book itself is 147k words which makes it the longest or my works to date.”

Nathan also adds, “This is the next to last Share book. Owner’s Share is in the works for early 2010 and I’ve got a new project getting set up for NaNoWriMo in November so there’ll be a new book in December (assuming I get it written!)”

J.C Hutchins

J.C. Hutchins has something to celebrate! Warner Bros.’ has optioned the 7th Son trilogy! While the option doesn’t guarantee that a film series will be made, the deal gives the studio the right to do so sometime in the next three years. “The possibility alone is terrific,” says Hutchins. Congrats from Podioracket! I know that Rhonda has scored an interview with J.C. so we can learn more about exciting things happening with all his projects.
