About the short story:

A treacherous walk up a mountain trail for a pregnant woman, Wynda, leads her to a druid who tells her the goddess Morrigna foretold the birth of her daughter. A danger-filled trading journey ends with Prys, the father of the new babe, coming home with tales of killing and rapes by the Roman soldiers. Beathan, the clan chieftain, utters a promise to protect the girl born that day and the druid Ogilhinn foretells the babe Jahna’s future and the importance of her birth to the clan. Foretelling is the story of the start of the life’s journey of Jahna, who as a woman tries to protect her clan in the novel The Fox.

Dark Overlord Media

The Mark of a Druid Book Signing

August 29th – Beat the southern California heat and rise above it all in the San Bernardino mountains at the first book signing for The Mark of a Druid. Join me, Rhonda R Carpenter for the reading, see the original art and meet the cover artist Amie Perry-Reavis from noon to 2 pm At McCabes and Co Booksellers in Crestline Ca. And a little bird told me I would not be the only author in attendance. We may even give out some signed posters. When it is all said and done please feel free to enjoy the mountains, lakes, shopping or spectacular site of the community I call home.

Podiobooks has just made an agreement with Smashwords. This is going to allow the two sites to link to each other so that users can get their audio and, if they just want more, the text versions of authors who participate. Watch for your favorite author to put their book out there!

In further news, Podiobooks is continuing to move toward that 2.0 release that we’ve been telling you about. Rumor has it, we’re just a couple weeks from testing.
