INTERVIEWS

EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing authors joined us in October for a BTR show interview, but we didn’t get nearly enough time to really speak with Lynda Williams. We are making that up to you now.

Lynda Williams

lives in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada where she is hard at work completing the 10 Book Science Fiction epic The Okal Rel Saga. Okal Rel stands for swords-in-space as one manifestation of a belief system designed to balance the sustainability of life in the universe with personal ambitions, good and evil. Lynda’s publications also include a growing list of Okal Rel Universe related books published by Windstorm Creative. Her latest short fiction, “The Harpy”, based on a Robert Service poem, appears in Mythspring (2006) edited by Julie E. Czerneda. Born in Prince George, British Columbia, Lynda holds three post secondary degrees and is pursuing an MA in English, part time, with a special interest in Canadian Science Fiction. She is also a book editor for ScrollPress, operated by Dr. Dee Horne, and chair of UNBC Press, a small university press.

As you may have read in our last blog post, the extended Blog Talk Radio show is coming to an end this month because of changes to the BTR hosting format. Thursday, May 20th: Paul E. Cooley is a writer of horror, supernatural, and, well, other types of fiction. Most of his stories are rather difficult to classify. Shadowpublications.com his website presents stories every month (when possible) with rants and ramblings at least once a week. Fiction has been his hobby since he was a teenager and led him to get a degree in English from Colorado State University. His newest releases include Tattoo and Closet Treats.

Wednesday, June 2: For those who wish their kids came with an instruction manual… Here’s a book for you. Authors Traci Davis & Vicki Holleman-Perez have written The Momma Guide, providing everyday practical advice for mommas everywhere. The Momma Guide addresses topics are far-ranging as birth, health problems, depression, divorce, death, and everything in between. As inspirational as it is informational, the hefty volume (461 pages) is a handy guide.

Thursday, June 3: We can’t wait to chat with R.E. (Renee) Chambliss. She is the author of the novel and podiobook Dreaming of Deliverance and is the narrator for Kenn Crawford’s podiobook Dead Hunt. PRP-Visionaries

Teel McClanahan’s story, Last Christmas, follows Santa Claus as he prepares for and makes deliveries on a dark, post-apocalyptic Christmas Eve. At first Santa doesn’t know precisely what has been going on all year, but slowly the pieces begin to come together to form a picture of what remains of the world.
