NEWS
J.C Hutchins
J.C. Hutchins has something to celebrate! Warner Bros.’ has optioned the 7th Son trilogy! While the option doesn’t guarantee that a film series will be made, the deal gives the studio the right to do so sometime in the next three years. “The possibility alone is terrific,” says Hutchins. Congrats from Podioracket! I know that Rhonda has scored an interview with J.C. so we can learn more about exciting things happening with all his projects.
The Rookie by Scott Sigler

As John Mierau mentions, Seth Harwood is celebrating the print release of Jack Wakes Up and beginning a book tour.
TIP FROM AN EXPERIENCED AUTHOR
Our tip this episode is from Drew Beatty, author of Lost Gods. He reminds authors to consider how long they can maintain a character’s voice when they read out loud. Your throat will thank you.

Good episode. The tip makes me wish I’d prepared better… I do have one character with a funky voice, but mostly I’m just keeping it semi-flat. First time out, learning experience, and all that. Who knows, maybe I’ll re-record and add some chimey noises at chapter breaks at some point. Sorry folks, I’m a lame noob!!

Todd,
You can always go back and record again. I went back and re-did my first 5 and am considering releasing all of the steamy stuff I cut for the print version for a private feed podcast. Just be sure that you coordinate your replacement files with Evo and that way your feed for that episode will not be down too long. Live and learn. As long as you are having fun and getting better as you go it will all work out.

Yep, I’m definitely learning as I go. I already had to re-record Episode 1 a few days after release, as it had an issue I didn’t catch during my own QA. We’ll see what happens, I really just want to get through to the end so people can hear the whole story, but I hope I’m getting better as the episodes continue.
